Halloween Safety Day

Halloween Safety Day is being held for Year Six pupils in the Blacon area of Chester.

The event at Blacon Community Centre in Norris Road is organised by Chester Road Safety Partnership and will provide workshops in important topics including road safety, fire safety, anti-social behaviour and cycle safety.

Cheshire’s Labour spokesman on Health and Social Care issues has raised concerns that a number of staff in private care homes across the UK have not had Criminal Records Bureau checks from their country of origin.

More Cash Needed for Adults With a Learning Disability

A leading labour County Councillor is calling on Cheshire County Council to put more money into services for adults with a learning disability.

Adult Social Services spokesman Brendan Doyle has revealed national figures that show Cheshire is in the lowest quartile of comparable local authorities for such spending.

This year the County Council budget is around £31.5 million.
