Changes to Macclesfield’s train service to Birmingham will result in a poorer service and overcrowding on trains – says Macclesfield’s Broken Cross County Councillor David Freear.
The new timetable published in December will see a reduction in the number of trains stopping at Macclesfield station from two per hour down to one.
“This is a ridiculous situation which is to the detriment of Macclesfield” said County Councillor Freear who also raised the issue at Council.
