Children Along The A540 Chester High Road Take Part In The Road Safety Look Out! Campaign

Children whose primary schools are based near the A540, one of Cheshire’s 8 high risk collision routes, or ‘Red Routes’ ,are taking part in a targeted Road Safety campaign.

During national Road Safety Week, County Council Road Safety and Communications teams are running special ‘Look Out’ workshops at schools near to the A540 Chester High Road between Two Mills and the Cheshire /Wirral border. The workshops will support this year’s Road Safety Week theme of ‘Protect the Ones You Love”

Planning Permission Given For New Sir William Stanier Community School In Crewe

Cheshire’s Development Regulatory committee has given planning permission for the new £20 million state-of-the-art Sir William Stanier Community School in Crewe.

Today’s (Monday) meeting was told that the Secretary of State for the Environment will now have the opportunity to comment on the scheme and will decide whether or not to ‘call in’ the application.
