Work to Start on New Traffic Signal Controlled Junction Serving Macclesfield Learning Zone

Work begins on March 31st on the new traffic signal controlled junction on Park Lane to serve the Macclesfield Learning Zone.

Managed by the County Council, the scheme will improve the entry and exit of Macclesfield College as well as providing safe crossing facilities in and out of the Learning Zone.

Government And EU To Be Contacted Over Cost Of Moving Four Great Crested Newts

A former Cheshire County Council chairman and the Executive member for the Environment are writing to the Government and the European Union after the removal of four Great Crested Newts cost £60,000.

The amphibians had to be found a new habitat as part of a planning application for building work at Fallibroome High School, Macclesfield.
