Future School Closure Decisions Will Be Decided By Cheshire’s Executive Sub Committee
Recent changes in the law now mean that school closure proposals in Cheshire will be decided by members of the County Council’s Executive instead of the School Organisation Committee (SOC).
The decision was taken today on 2 July by the Executive and followed the government ruling to disband all independent SOCs. The issue will now be considered by next week’s special Organisation committee and full Council on July 12.
