Work Scheduled To Renew Popular Chester Foot Bridge

Work begins on October 25th to renew the surface of a popular foot bridge in Saltney, Chester.

The Redrow railway bridge links Oak Road and Boundary Lane. The scheme costs £10,000 and work will be carried out by County Council maintenance contractor Edmund Nuttall.

Traffic Diversion While Footway Improvements Take Place In Handbridge, Chester

The restriction will be in force between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Local Overleigh County Councillor Stephen Mosley said: “We apologise for any inconvenience as this eight week project along the length of Overleigh Road nears completion.

Any disruption for drivers will be kept to the absolute minimum. And I am sure that the new footways, costing £45,000, will be a great improvement for pedestrians.”
