Tribute To Honorary Alderman Humphrey Godwin Tributes are being paid to Honorary Alderman Humphrey Godwin, a great lover of the Cheshire countryside. Mr Godwin aged 93 who lived in Prestbury, passed away after a short illness on January 8. Funeral details have not yet been released. He became a County Councillor in 1964 for the then Macclesfield division and was chairman of the Countryside and Recreation committee. [Read full story...]
