About Me
I was first elected to the County Council in June 2001.  I have been a Member Congleton Borough Council since May 2000.

I have recently been appointed as the County Council's Executive Support Member for Children's Services.  I am a Member of the Executive School Organisation Sub Committee, the Corporate Parenting Select Panel and the Organisation Committee.  I am also a Member of Sandbach Partnership.

At the local level I chair the District Public Transport Liaison Committee and am Vice Chairman of the Joint Highway and Transportation Committee.  I am a Governor of Sandbach School.

I was born in Birmingham.  Pamela and I have been married for over forty years and both our children were born in Cheshire.  My daughter Denise works for a finance company and my son Martyn runs his own Marketing and Sales Consultancy.  My background is in electrical engineering, the automotive trade and print company equipment.

My main aims are to give young people in Sandbach more opportunity to become part of the local community including integrating better with the elderly and working and supporting local voluntary services.

I have spent a considerable amount of time over the last few years working with County Engineers to improve the road structures of Sandbach, and working closely with the local community action team and the County Youth Service.
