I was elected to Cheshire County Council in May 2005 to represent and serve in the electoral division of Wilmslow South. The Division covers the three Macclesfield Borough Wards of Lacey Green, Morley and Styal and The Hough. I served on Lacey Green ward for twelve years, standing down in 1994.
We moved to Wilmslow nearly thirty years ago and have seen many changes in that time. I am therefore very familiar with the area as you would expect and I have a good understanding of local issues. My husband died four years ago. I have three grown up children and eight grandchildren.
On the County Council my main interests concern the environment and the issues of “Climate Change”. I am on the Environmental Scrutiny Select Committee, the Standards Committee and other bodies connected with Waste Disposal.
I am in Wilmslow Library on the second Saturday in each month from 11 to 12 noon. I will either call or contact people who ask for my help. |
