More than 14,000 young people from 11 up to 17 across Cheshire cast their all-important vote to elect three Youth Parliament Members (MYPs) to act as their voice in the 400-strong national parliament, first launched in the House of Commons eight years ago.
And six of Cheshire’s eight MPs applauded the young candidates’ victory at a landmark County Hall youth election organised by the County Council’s Youth Service.
