The External Funding and European Unit is part of the Policy and Resources Department in The Council.
Who Can We Help?
The Unit assists both Council departments and external voluntary or Community organisations on External Funding and European Union issues.
What Do We Do?
Funding
- The Unit works to help attract external funding to Cheshire.
- There are numerous external funding opportunities available including Lottery, Government grants and European Structural Funding. The Unit will advise on appropriate funds to target, outlining rules and regulations, what makes a good application and deadlines.
- Build and Develop an awareness of external funding opportunities

- Funding Search - submit one of our funding Search Forms if you are a Community or Voluntary organisation

- We support all The Council services in identifying and responding to European developments affecting Cheshire
- We aim to develop a powerful voice for Cheshire In Europe.
- Strengthen and develop partnerships and networks (within and outside The Council)
