Consultation on School Admission Arrangements for 2010-2011
In order to ensure arrangements meet the needs of the local area, admission authorities have a duty to consult within their relevant area and with relevant parents and the local community on their proposed admission arrangements, which include the overall procedure, practices, criteria and supplementary information to be used in deciding on the allocation of school places.
Admission arrangements, one determined, must be in compliance with the mandatory provisions of the School Admissions Code.
Proposed Arrangements for Community and Controlled Schools
Cheshire West and Chester and Cheshire East Shadow Councils are consulting on their proposed admission arrangements for September 2010 for the community and voluntary controlled schools in their area:
Cheshire East
Cheshire West and Chester
Comments should be sent in writing to the Admissions and Transfers Service, Cheshire County Council, County Offices, Watling Street, Northwich, CW9 5ET or by e-mail to admissions@cheshire.gov.uk
Proposed Arrangements for Voluntary Aided and Foundation Schools
In addition, Cheshire County Council is consulting on behalf of governing bodies of voluntary aided and foundation schools in Cheshire, where this has been requested.
Comments on the proposed arrangements must be sent to the relevant school. School contact details.
All comments must be received by the closing date of 1 March 2009.
