Are you aware that you can apply online for school places if your child will be starting for the first time in a:

  • Reception class
  • Year 3 in a Junior School, or
  • Year 7 in a Secondary School?

The application process will begin on 1 September 2008. From this date you will be able to complete an online application form here. This service will end on the published closing date for applications.

Why apply online?

  • It's quick and easy
  • You can apply from home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • You can log on to your online admissions account on the day that the offers are released, rather than wait for your offer letter to be received in the post
  • There is no risk that your application will be lost in the post
  • You can request to receive an email confirmation that your application has been received

How do I apply online?

Fill out our Online Admissions Application Form.

Is there anything I should do before completing my online application?

Yes, before applying we advise that you read our Admissions Information Booklets which explain how school places are allocated if a school receives more applications than they have vacancies. You will also be able to see the important dates in the application process and read information on schools in Cheshire.

Do I have to be a Cheshire resident to apply online?

Secondary school application - If you are applying for a Year 7 place for September in a secondary school you can only apply using our Online Admissions Application Form if you are resident in Cheshire. This is because applications for secondary school places in England are made on your own authority's application form.

If however, you are not resident in England (you live in Wales or Scotland, or are applying from overseas) you can also apply direct to Cheshire for a place in a Cheshire School using the Online Admissions Application Form.

Primary school applications - If you are applying to start for the first time in a Cheshire school for a place in a Reception Class or Year 3 Class you must use our Online Admissions Application Form regardless of where you are resident.

When can I use the online system?

You can apply from 1st September up until the published closing date.

Will my application be secure?

Yes, the system has a series of security features that will prevent others from seeing your information.

Who makes the application?

The person with parental responsibility should submit the application.

How will I know my form has been received?

You will receive an email acknowledgement to confirm the status of your application.

Will I be told the result of my application electronically?

You can request to receive your offer by email when you complete your online form. You will need to give permission for us to use your email address. This email address will be used for admission purposes only in line with data protection. If you do not grant permission, you will not receive your offer by email. There is no facility to provide 'individual' emails at a later stage. All applicants will still receive an offer letter in the post.
