Local Development Scheme
The first Minerals and Waste Development Scheme for Cheshire 2004-2007 was approved by the First Secretary of State in March 2005. This document provided the starting point for the community and other stakeholders to find out what documents we intend to prepare and the key stages for involvement.
A revised Minerals and Waste Development Scheme for Cheshire 2007-2009 has now been adopted by the Council, March 2007. The scheme has been amended primarily to take account of slippage within the original timetable. The document can be viewed at Local Development Scheme Document (pdf). Printed copies of the document can also be obtained by contacting the Environmental Planning Administration Section on Chester (01244) 973175.

The Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan is included within the Local Development Scheme for completeness, the Plan has been prepared under the transitional regulations. The Plan has been through a Local Plan Inquiry and the Inspector’s Report was received in June 2007. The Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan was adopted by Cheshire County Council in July 2007
