Headline:

Sunny today but becoming cloudier this evening.

Today:

Cold at first with some frost and a few mist and fog patches to start but these will soon clear to leave the rest of the day dry with long sunny periods. Maximum temperature 9 deg C (48 deg F).

Tonight:

Cloud increasing this evening ahead of a band of rain arriving from the north, reaching Chester around midnight. It should become drier in most parts by dawn. Minimum temperature 1 deg C (32 deg F).

Friday:

Outbreaks of rain continue through Friday, but it becomes drier and brighter by the end of the day, with some sunshine in the late afternoon. Maximum temperature 9 deg C (48 deg F).

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Remaining unsettled throughout with some dry and sunny periods but also further showers or outbreaks of rain. Some risk of frost patches forming overnight. Becoming rather windy on Monday.
