Solar Powered Road Signs Near Alvanley Primary School
Flashing solar powered road signs warning drivers to take extra care near Alvanley Primary School are in place as pupils return this September.
Funded by the County Council, the project costing around £5,000 includes the special light units, new posts and signs.
The solar powered signs will light up at the beginning and end of the school day on the B5393 Manley Road, the B5393 Frodsham Road and Helsby Road
“I am delighted that solar powered signs have been installed near Alvanley Primary School” said local Weaver County Councillor Nora Dolphin.
“They will alert drivers and increase road safety awareness on these busy roads, particularly because they will only light up at peak times when children are travelling to and from school.”
