Festival For Young Children Involving Theatre Companies From The Uk And Two European Countries

A new festival is taking place across Cheshire for children aged between two and six who will be able to watch theatrical events from the UK and two European countries.

Titled Kindergardens, theatre companies from Italy, Croatia and the UK will be taking part.

The professional theatre performances have been set up following collaboration between Cheshire Rural Touring Network, Shropshire and Herefordshire’s Arts Alive and Somerset’s Take Art.

Kindergardens is also part of the mini network which is a service run by Cheshire County Council’s Arts Service for early year’s children and their families.

“It is the first time that we have taken part in such collaboration and I am sure that young children will enjoy what will be a magical theatrical experience” said Community and Communications Executive Member Nora Dolphin.

“As well as the schools involved, local playgroups will also be invited to come along.

“The three companies will also be touring Shropshire, Hereford and Somerset and if the idea is a success I am sure this could lead to further visits in the future.”
