The Weaver Valley Regional Park (W.V.R.P.) Project runs for 25 miles down the centre of Cheshire from the edge of Runcorn to Crewe is a unique project which will create a large scale recreational resource. Centuries of salt extraction and processing within the Weaver and Wheelock Valleys have left a unique legacy of waterways, archaeological remains, subsidence flashes, chemical works, waste tips, biodiversity and cultural heritage.
The European Garden Heritage Network (E.G.H.N) Project consists of a series of partners from France, Germany and the UK to form a pan-European working group to ensure gardens and parks are managed positively as heritage cultural assets, promote regional development and sustainable tourism. The project celebrates the County’s rich cultural landscape, highlighting Tatton Park as the regional gem.
