Enforcement
The County Council always seeks to resolve breaches of planning control and cases of unauthorised development by discussion and negotiation with those involved. However, on occasions it may prove necessary to take formal enforcement action.
The Council has a number of options available in terms of possible notices that can be served, including Breach of Condition Notices, Enforcement Notices and Stop Notices. Where formal notices are served, the Council will place copies on these pages for viewing. Notices are arranged by year and by site name.
Please note that while copies of notices are placed here, if you have a specific interest in the development or site concerned you should contact the officers in the Service to check their status, as some notices can have appeals made against them.
