If you are wishing to submit a planning application to Cheshire County Council then you can access the necessary forms here. It is important to ensure that the correct application forms are used for the appropriate type of development. In addition to the application forms you will also need to submit the relevant certificates. Guidance notes are also available to assist in filling the forms and certificates.

    Pre-application consultations

In processing planning applications the Planning Control Team attempt to anticipate the issues that may arise with each proposed development. The most efficient way of doing this is to highlight such issues before the planning application is submitted.

It is recommended that prior to submission of any planning application that developers and individuals contact the Planning Control Team for advice and assistance. This may take the form of informal advice on the likelihood of obtaining planning permission, or a site visit. This should ensure that once the planning application has been submitted there should be few hindrances during processing.

    Application Forms

From 6 April 2008 the new 1APP National Application form is mandatory for most types of application. They only exception to this are minerals applications, where Cheshire's own forms should be used.

    Applications for Minerals Development:

    Applications for all other proposals:

For all applications other than minerals development you must use the 1APP form from the options below. If you do not do so, and use any other form your application will not be valid.

The list below covers the types of application you may wish to submit to Cheshire County Council. Please use the appropriate application form and corresponding validation checklist. If you have any queries about which form or checklist to use, please contact us.

    Please note
you can open these forms using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Unfortunately due to restrictions imposed on their use by the Planning Portal, you will not be able to complete them online electronically unless you have access to Adobe Acrobat Professional, as the documents are 'read-only'.
