Adopted Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan
The Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan was adopted on 12 July 2007. It incorporates the binding recommendations of the Inspector’s report, which the County Council received in June 2007 following the Local Plan Inquiry which began in September 2006. The adopted plan forms part of the development plan for the administrative area of Cheshire County Council.
Statement on the Strategic Environmental Assessment of the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan
The County Council has prepared a statement on the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the Replacement Waste Local Plan. This is required for the purposes of Regulation 16 of The Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004.
Re-deposit Draft of the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan
The Re-deposit Draft Plan incorporates the changes made to the First Deposit Draft of the Plan following its public consultation period in spring 2004. The amendments include those made in response to the comments received at that time, together with the amendments arising from the sustainability appraisal and changes in national and regional planning guidance.

Sustainability Appraisal of the Re-deposit draft of the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan
Sustainability Appraisal is a process that assesses the environmental, social and economic consequences of a plan and its policies, and seeks to identify ways of achieving a sustainable balance between these considerations. The Sustainability Appraisal of the Re-deposit Plan is a revision of the Sustainability Appraisal of the First Deposit Draft of the plan.
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of Re-deposit draft of the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan
The SEA of the Re-deposit plan assesses the likely environmental effects of the plan against a range of environmental issues. The aim is to ensure the Plan contributes to a high level of protection of the environment and towards achieving sustainable development. The SEA fulfils the requirements of EU and national policy for carrying out an SEA on a plan. It is an integral part of the Sustainability Appraisal of the Re-deposit plan.
First Deposit Draft of the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan
The first draft of the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan was published for public consultation in Spring 2004. This has been modified to produce the Re-deposit Draft of the Plan.
The Sustainability Appraisal of the First Deposit Draft of the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan
A First Deposit Draft of the Plan was subject to a Sustainability Appraisal. It concluded that the Plan addressed very well most of the requirements for sustainable development in waste planning. However, it also made a series of recommendations for possible changes to the Plan. As a result, modifications were been made during the production of the Re-deposit draft of the Plan that reflect the recommendations of the original Sustainability Appraisal.
Report of the comments received on the First Deposit Draft of the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan
The Report of Comments lists the comments received by Cheshire County Council during the public consultation on the First Deposit Draft of the Plan. It also shows the County Council’s response to the comments and the proposed modification as a result of the comment.
