A public inquiry was held to hear unresolved objections to the above Local plan commencing on 5th September 2006. This was held at The Chester Racecourse, Paddock Rooms, Chester.
This was followed by two "called-In" Inquiries which were both be held at the Crewe Alexander Football Club, Gresty Road, Crewe. The first which will be an Inquiry into the Clayhanger Hall Farm site Crewe, which commenced on Tuesday 7th November 2006. Following this an Inquiry into the Kinderton Lodge site at Middlewich took place, commencing on Tuesday 21st November 2006. The inquiry was formally closed on 21st February 2007.
The First Secretary of State for the Environment appointed an Inspector, Mr Andy Mead BSc MRTPI MIQ and an assistant inspector Ms Janice Chance, to conduct the Inquiry.
Pre Inquiry Meeting
A Pre-Inquiry Meeting was held on 21st June 2006. The purpose of this was to help the Inspector and all interested parties to prepare for the Inquiry and for the Inspector to outline how the Inquiry will be conducted and the procedures to be followed. A Draft Programme for the Inquiry has been produced and will be continually updated.
Notes from the meeting were sent to all interested parties.
