Omnibus survey
The Omnibus survey was undertaken primarily to meet the strategic needs of the Waste and Planning Service in the production of the individual Minerals and Waste Development Frameworks (MWDF). The survey also supported the strategic needs of the County Council’s Corporate Plan, the Cheshire Local Area Agreement, the Cheshire Sustainable Communities Strategy and the district community strategies led by the six district Local Strategic Partnerships. Topics covered for the whole of Cheshire included:
Quality of life
Involvement in the community
Community cohesion
Mental health
Moving home.
Road Safety discussion groups - reports
In January 2008, discussion groups were held with local drivers to explore ways of communicating road safety messages for a stretch of the A540 near Neston and the A530 between Nantwich and Middlewich. These stretches of road are among the most dangerous in Cheshire.
