One Incredible Day
One day we journeyed Through space and time From Day of Formation Past avenues of lime
We saw new technology And ice - age terraces, A small weasel scurry And planets’ places.
Our Universe before us And Nature around, Pulsars’ dot - dashes, A humming bee’s sound.
All in a few miles In rural Cheshire. Quinta and Jodrell Bank Gave so much pleasure
Jodrell Bank
In mist of early morning slender legs stride into view carefully carrying enormous upturned mushroom caps catching spores from space.
The swirl of mist covers, reveals dwarfed trees and scattered hides of watchers. Within screens show streams of magic numbers to mathematical wizards... to interpret to hope.
Now is all we have In early morning mist we are alone.
Life is too short to stuff a mushroom
