Archives
- We have in our care approximately 11 kilometres of archives.
- Over 650 documents and local studies publications were treated by our trained conservation staff to the standard laid down in British Standard 4971.
- We received 139 new accessions.
Books
- There are 34,025 local studies publications catalogued on the CALM database.
- Over items were added between April 2006 and March 2007.
Using Our Service
- 19,201 documents were consulted by the public.
- We also had 7,689 user visits to the Record Office; not including the people who use the service we provide to Cheshire libraries.
- We received 2,046 postal enquiries, 5,147 e-mail enquiries and 905 telephone enquiries.
- 328 enquiries were received by our Research Consultant.
- We received over 3,600 photocopying orders. 60% of these were orders placed via our e-shop
- Our website received well over 22,000 'visits'.
- Over 178,000 searches of our on-line wills index were completed.
Outreach
- 35 talks or conducted visits were provided by staff at Cheshire Record Office.
