Castles in Cheshire

Beeston Castle - overlooking the Cheshire plain, dating from as early as 1225, Beeston castle is located 11 miles South East of Chester.
Chester Castle - the Agricola tower and castle walls.
Cholmondeley Castle - set in acres of beautiful gardens, in Malpas.
Halton Castle - dating from possibly as early as the 11th century, these castle ruins overlook the River Mersey.
Leasowe Castle - dating back to 1592, this castle is now host to weddings and functions.
Mow Cop Castle - a beautiful hilltop folly, set on the Staffordshire border.
Peckforton Castle - standing opposite to Beeston Castle, this Norman-style structure was actually built in the 1840's and is now a romantic setting for weddings, conferences and filming.
Shocklach Castle - the remains of a 13th century earthwork enclosure fortress.
