Conservation Areas are designated areas of special architectural or historic interest, where it is desirable to protect and enhance their character. Cheshire County Council does not designate Conservation Areas; that is the responsibility of the district planning authorities. The County however does consider potential impacts on Conservation Areas when determining relevant planning applications.
