Education and Lifelong Learning

Museums and heritage sites in Cheshire are excellent resources for all kinds of learning experiences in lots of different subjects for all ages.  Formal education provision with sessions tied into the national curriculum is available at all the museums.   Provision for primary schools is particularly extensive, including science, history, geography, art and design and literacy.  KS3 & 4, post 16 and vocational students are also supported.  Ask for a copy of our ‘Get More’ leaflet or browse individual museums’ websites.  There are also often family and adult learning opportunities, so check out the museums’ websites or pick up a leaflet locally.

The education officers within Cheshire, Halton and Warrington work together through a professional group, the Education Resources Association (ERA).  For more details contact Tom Hughes: tom.hughes@cheshire.gov.uk
