Museums in Cheshire

There are nearly 20 accredited* museums in the Cheshire sub-region, covering everything from historic houses, ecclesiastical history, ancient market towns to salt, silk and canals.

Many of them offer education programmes related to the national curriculum and also events and activities for everyone.

*Accredited museum: meets all the requirements of the national minimum standards scheme administered by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council.
