Praise for Salt Museum after independent inspection
The Salt Museum recently underwent an independent inspection by VAQAS - Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme.
The museum scored highly in all aspects of its operation including the lay-out, coffee shop and displays. The report praised the site’s ‘state-of-the-art presentation and interpretation’ and concludes by stating that:-
‘Cheshire is fortunate to have so attractive and accessible a museum in Northwich with great opportunities for further development.’
Curator Matt Wheeler said, ‘We are delighted with this report. It shows we are continuing to move in the right direction. Over the past year, our new season ticket scheme and lively programme of changing exhibitions and activities have proved popular with families and we have more changes planned for our displays over the next 12 months.’
