"If music be the food of love play on....."

Chester Summer Music Festival: an annual music festival held in July, promotes performances by artists as diverse as Van Morrison, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Maddy Prior. Performances take place in the open air, in venues ranging from 1000 year old Chester Cathedral to the Victorian Town Hall.

A Jazz festival is held in Nantwich each Easter weekend and later in the year Nantwich also hosts a Folk Festival.
