Local Government Reorganisation
Please note that, from April 2009, Cheshire County Council and the six Cheshire District Councils will be replaced by two new unitary authorities, Cheshire East Council (covering Macclesfield, Congleton and Crewe & Nantwich areas) and Cheshire West and Chester Council (covering Chester, Vale Royal and Ellesmere Port & Neston areas).
Consequently, responsibility for collecting the Council Tax and dealing with individual billing queries will transfer to the two new authorities from April 2009. |
