Finance and the Council
Financial stewardship and accountability are at the heart of the Council's overall governance arrangements. Finance staff work alongside elected Members and colleagues in other departments to ensure that sound financial management and stewardship principles underpin the provision of services to the people of Cheshire.
Finance staff deal with all aspects of financial management and administration, from the preparation of the Council's £375 million net budget and accounts through to making sure that individual invoices and salaries get paid promptly. Our staff are located at various offices in Cheshire, with the majority based at County Hall in Chester.
