The accounts and financial affairs of the Council are presented in its Annual Statement of Accounts. This is a statutory document which must be prepared and published by dates set by the Government each year. In line with Audit Commission best practice, from September 2005 the Council has also introduced a summarised version which highlights the key points.
Both statements demonstrate the Council's stewardship of public money for the year in question:
2007-2008 Accounts
2006-2007 Accounts
2005-2006 Accounts
