Taking Hamlet to the hamlets….

Tapping into exciting cultural events should not be a postcode lottery. That’s why drama lovers living in out of the way villages or hamlets are getting the chance to enjoy live theatre. For every effort is made to support artistic activity on the fringe - such as the successful Rural Touring Network, roving art exhibitions, the young people’s theatre Action Transport of Ellesmere Port or readings - making it accessible for all.

Thanks to partnership support from a range of agencies - the Council among them – more and more people are discovering the benefits of enjoying plays, readings, poetry and drama – delivered direct to their local communities.

And in line with this enlightened approach, local young people are given their own platform to help shape activities that will appeal to the youth sector to inspire, inform and entertain.
