New challenges - new skills
Learning opportunities are available in Cheshire from a range of sources. Start with 39 Council libraries - plus five mobiles that tour rural areas - which offers IT and Internet access as well as (wait for it) more than 6.5 million books, and over 300,000 videos, tapes, CDs and talking books! No wonder it is estimated that every week nearly 100,000 borrowers take advantage of this store house of knowledge.
For more evidence of the breadth of scope, turn to the local museums, country parks and family centres. Add to this what is on offer through Social Services projects at day centres, and services for adults with learning disabilities and older people and the picture widens.
