We offer information, advice and support to community and voluntary organisations, including schools and parish councils, on how to attract funding and develop strong applications.
How Can We Help?
There are numerous external funding opportunities available to Cheshire’s voluntary, community and statutory organisations, both from the UK and Europe, for example:
- Lottery (Big Lottery Fund, Heritage, Sport, Arts)
- Government Grants (Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Department of Trade and Industry, Department for Education and Skills, North West Regional Development Agency)
- Landfill and Aggregates Tax Credit
- Charitable Trusts & Foundations
- Sponsorship
- European Social Fund
- European Regional Development Fund
- Other European Union Funds
We offer support in identifying appropriate sources of funding for project ideas and advise on developing robust funding applications, specifically covering project development, evidencing need, meeting the criteria, and facilitating co-operation and partnerships. We can perform a ‘third eye’ assessment of your bid before you submit to the Funder to ensure that you have the best chance of success. The writing of the bid remains the responsibility of the applicant, however, we can support you at other stages, especially if applying for external funding is new to you.
