Living without a diagnosis
The Living without a diagnosis factsheet is produced by Contact a Family it is designed for parents of carers who are looking after children with a disorder that has not yet been diagnosed. It tries to answer some of the questions that they may have but more importantly it hi-lights that they are not the only family in this situation. It has a who’s who section that aims to inform parents on all the people who may be involved and what they do. It finishes with contact details for a helpline if you are a parent or carer in need of support.
Special Educational Needs (SEN)
The Special Educational Needs (SEN) leaflet is for parents of children with special educational needs. It has information about children with special educational needs in education and the processes that you go through. It also has a section on definitions to help explain what different things mean and what different bodies do. It then finishes with a useful contacts section with organisations that can offer advice and assist you through the whole process.
