Weaver Wanderer Route Description

The directions start at Nat Lane car park on the Weaver Parkway, but you can also start at Newbridge picnic area or Whitegate Station on the Whitegate Way.

  1. Go through the gate onto the Weaver Parkway. Turn right onto the start of the cycleway.
  2. Follow the cycleway all the way to Newbridge picnic area.
  3. Cross over the two bridges and follow the track up to the right.
  4. Turn left onto the lane.
  5. Turn right into School Lane opposite the Rock Salt Mine.
  6. Bear left past Meadow House Farm.
  7. Turn left where the paths cross.
  8. Turn right onto the Whitegate Way at Catsclough.
  9. Go through the car park at Whitegate Station and turn right onto Clay Lane.
  10. Go straight over the next two sets of crossroads.
  11. Turn right into Grange Lane opposite Whitegate village school. Continue down Grange Lane past the "Access only" sign.
  12. Cross over the Whitegate Way.
  13. Turn down the second track on the left.
  14. Fork right down the track near the house.
  15. Bend sharply left.
  16. Turn right onto the Whitegate Way at Catsclough.
  17. Take the left hand fork of the Whitegate Way.
  18. Turn left onto Mill Lane.
  19. After the Salt Mine turn right before the bend, and cross the bridges at Newbridge.
  20. Turn immediately right and follow the cycleway back to Nat Lane car park.
