Step back in time at Hadlow Road Station, where the waiting room and ticket office have been restored. From here you can walk, cycle or ride up to Parkgate, with several picnic stops along the Wirral Way. Enjoy an ice cream while you admire the view over the Dee Estuary at Parkgate.

High tides are truly dramatic and offer some of the most spectacular bird watching in the northwest.
The Wirral Way is based on the former Hooton to West Kirby Branch Line Railway. The Cheshire section from Hooton to Parkgate is 6 miles but you can carry on up to West Kirby which is an additional 6 miles. |

A Walker's Cheshire - Parkgate is a very easy 5km (3 miles) circular route from the Old Baths car park, onto the Wirral Way and along the Dee estuary.
Cycle Cheshire - Signals and Saltmarsh is a gentle 19km (12 miles) ride from Willaston to the Dee Estuary and back, using part of the National Cycle Network.

There is a railway station at Hooton. The Country Park is well signed from the A540 and A41. The car park at Hadlow Road, Willaston is locked at night - please check the notice board for details. Please note there are height barriers on the car parks but keys are available from the Rangers for a refundable deposit.
