The Mersey Forest - click for the website (opens in new window)Old copses and newly planted woodlands along the Shropshire Union Canal form an attractive greenway from Ellesmere Port to Chester for both walkers and cyclists.

There are seats along the way, interesting pockets of woodland and wild corners to explore, and a series of distinctive waymarks.
