Stride out on the new Healthy Trail in Stanney Woods Local Nature Reserve, listening out for the woodpecker drumming or the screech of a jay as you go.

Stanney Woods is an ancient woodland of oak and silver birch, with some hazel and holly. It is excellent for bird watching and also exceptionally good for fungi in the autumn.

Special events and practical conservation tasks are held throughout the year, check the notice board for details.
