You will find all of these shown on Ordnance Survey maps. There is also a wide variety of leaflets, guides and magazines which are published describing cycle routes to suit every taste. Why not take a look at the cycling pages of this site for fresh ideas - and don't forget to use our "feedback" facility to let us know if you have enjoyed them. Tell us too what you didn't like - and that will help us improve our facilities for you in the future.
Please take care when cycling in or beside traffic. Many drivers do not take sufficient account of the needs of vulnerable road users like cyclists. You in turn should be considerate towards others using your route and avoid cycling recklessly, particularly where you cannot see ahead - walkers or horse-riders may appear from a side path apparently 'out of nowhere'. Remember, it is your duty to give way to both walkers and horseriders on a bridleway. It is a good idea to fit a bell to your bike and to use it to warn others of your approach.
You should not use certain types of route. Please leave them for walkers to enjoy:
