Marbury Route Description

  1. Leave the village, passing the lane to the church on your left.
  2. Follow the first footpath on the left after the bungalows. Cross the fields to a lane.
  3. Turn left up the lane known locally as 'Killcow Hill' because of the steep climb to Wirswall.
  4. Immediately after the first house on the left turn into a short track. Then cross the stile on the right and follow the path to the top of Wirswall Hill.
  5. Cross the stile onto the road and take the next footpath on your left down the hill towards Big Mere.
  6. At the road you can either turn left back into the village or turn right and take the first footpath on your left which takes you behind Little Mere.
  7. Turn left back to the village.
