What's New

  • CDAP Partnership meetings - the partnership meetings for 2007 will be on the following dates:
    • March 22 - Blue Cap, Sandiway
    • May 17 - Rudheath Centre
    • September 13 - Rudheath Centre
    • December 6 - Rudheath Centre

  • Information for agency workers on how to refer clients to the Domestic Violence Family Safety Units can be found on the DVFSU agency poster/publicity Leaflet
  • The latest CDAP performance report on domestic violence in Cheshire is now available
  • In April 2007 Cheshire Domestic Violence Outreach Service became Cheshire Domestic Violence Safety Units (DVFSU). There are two units, in the East (Congleton) and West (Northwich) of the county.
  • CDAP report for the LSCB has been produced, detailing service provision for children who live with domestic abuse 2006-07
  • CDAP Strategic report analyses performance in 2006-07 in relation to the five priorities of CDAP's strategy 2006-09
  • Details of Lifeline - Cheshire's Voluntary Perpetrators Programme - are now available on this site. You can download publicity leaflets, the referral form and contract of participation.
  • For further information on CDAP's work in Cheshire please read the latest publicity leaflet.
  • East Cheshire Domestic Abuse Forum was launched on January 29 2007, bringing together Macclesfield, Crewe and Congleton districts to work together to address service provision in for domestic abuse in the east of the county.   • Multi-agency risk assessment conferencing (MARACs) will start on April 24 2007 when the first MARAC will be held in the West of the county. MARACs are regularly-held meetings where agencies share information to increase the safety, health and wellbeing of domestic violence victims and their children.
  • "What has s/he done today to make you feel proud?"- mothers and young people have been working on a project celebrating the way families get through difficult experiences. It takes the form of a "Labyrinth Walk" which you walk through and draw inspiration from the survivors' journeys.
  • "Talking to my mum" - a conference focusing on support and celebration of the survival and recovery of children and families exposed to domestic abuse - will take place on March 29 2007 in Northwich.
  • Voluntary Perpetrator Programme - a programme for perpetrators of domestic violence is being set up in Cheshire and is currently seeking secondees to be trained as facilitators. For more information contact Emily Alison alisone638@aol.com 0777 320 6660.
