Can donate raffle prizes to local groups. Operate a Dividend card which can be pooled by schools. To set this up and register a card for your group ring the Dividend helpline on 0845 0901456.
Eco Schools
Eco Schools is a programme for promoting environmental awareness in a way that links to many curriculum subjects, including citizenship, personal, social and health education (PSHE) and education for sustainable development. The Eco Schools process is holistic. It works by involving the whole school (pupils, teachers, non-teaching staff and governors) together with members of the local community (parents, the local authority, the media and local businesses). It will encourage teamwork and help to create a shared understanding of what it takes to run a school in a way that respects and enhances the environment.

Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA)
Run the Organic Gardens for Schools Programme, through their website www.hdra.org.uk/schools_organic_network. This contains tips & advice, reports from schools around the UK, facts and figures, suggestions for half term activities, advice and fact sheets for primary and secondary staff and pupils and advice on links to the National Curriculum. Learning Through Landscapes
Learning through Landscapes is the National School Grounds Charity work with member schools to help improve and develop their grounds. LTL run a number of national and local programmes which work with certain schools on a range of issues including advice on design and funding. Membership costs £50 a year. National Wildflower Centre
Offer visits and activities to groups to learn all about the wildflowers that have been disappearing from our countryside, find out about creative conservation. All activities offered have been carefully linked to the National Curriculum. These include Parts of a Plant, Habitats, Food Chains and Classification. School groups can also undertake a variety of art projects and organise their own mini-beast hunts. Activities for visiting groups can be tailored to fit in with topics currently being taught. We also offer a sensory tour and activities for groups with learning disabilities. NWC also produce a Teacher's Resource Pack for £12.50 plus £2.50 p& p. RHS
The RHS has a schools membership scheme. This is a service that is offered free of charge to schools, apart from an initial administration fee of 84p. Its benefits include a termly newsletter, priority bookings for school visits to RHS gardens, reduced rates for teachers, support staff and governors attending INSET courses, email advice line, copies of the monthly RHS magazine, advice on school gardening issues, support and ideas for teaching about plants in the National Curriculum and eligibility for the RHS School Members Seed Distribution Scheme. The Tree Council
The Tree Council’s aims are to improve the environment by promoting the planting and conservation of trees and woods, to disseminate knowledge about trees and their management and t act as a forum for organisations concerned with trees. It organises National Tree Week in November, Walk in the Woods in May and National Seed Gathering Sunday in October each year. Free trees are given to community groups and occasionally small awards are available.
