How to run a school grounds project

These pages are designed to provide you with a summary of how to get a school grounds project going and keep it running smoothly. For full details please refer to the School Grounds Handbook or contact us.

To make a school grounds project as successful as it can be, it is important;

  • to have a well structured process,
  • that there is clear and frequent communication, and
  • that everyone is on board with the idea, preferably in the form of a group which will oversee the project.

Consider how much the school community will be able to do and what level of professional support you might want at the different stages of the process. There are a number of organisations who will offer to run all or some of the project for you. For more information see contacts.
