Town and Parish Councils

Main heading

Sub-heading

The Association is the body which represents most Town and Parish Councils in Cheshire. The Association is responsible for the representation of the rural and urban areas of the county.  To achieve this the Association is represented on other bodies in the Region either in its own name or in consortium with the Associations in Cumbria, and Lancashire and Merseyside - the North West Federation of Parish and Town Councils.

In Cheshire there are some 230 Parishes.  These are identified together with the name of each Parish Clerk with whom first contact should always be made.
