The Research and Intelligence unit can carry out e-consultation. This uses electronic formats to gather research. There are two main options:
- e-survey/eforms
- online forum
What is an e-survey?
It is possible for the unit to produce questionnaires that are made available on the internet. The advantages to this are:
- paper free, easy to administer and quicker to produce
- Instant basic reporting (with the option of more complex reporting)
- Suitable for short questionnaires

What is an online forum?
This is a way of allowing registered users offer opinions on a particular topic in a similar to focus groups. Most likely to be used in conjunction with another research method (such as an e-survey)
Who do I contact and when?
For a chat to see if a method would be suitable and what's fully involved please contact Andrew Pomfret in the Research and Intelligence Unit on 01244 972864. |
