Paying by cheque from 1 April 2009
Please note that, as from 1 April 2009, we are only able to accept cheques if they are made payable to Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Access to microfilms in the searchroom
Recently a number of our microfilms have gone missing. These are expensive to replace. To ensure that we can maintain our existing holdings of microfilms we therefore have no alternative other than to control access to them. With regret, and mindful of the inconvenience that will be caused to our users, as from Monday 19 January, the microfilm cabinets will be locked. Users requiring access to microfilms will need to ask a member of the record office team to produce the film they require.
We are sorry to take this step, but we have a duty of care to the resources of which we are the custodian.
